Co-founder and CEO of global therapy service provider TalkSpace, Oren Frank has announced that the company will be bringing in Former senior medical director of United Health Neil Leibowitz. The decision to bring in Neil was one of necessity as the company is seeking to grow within their market, in addition, many have speculated that TalkSpace will be heading into a potential IPO or Initial Public Offering very soon and any improvements to the service and therefore the value of the company may be noticed by future investors. TalkSpace has grown by leaps and bounds since its founding with recent reports stating that the company has reached its one millionth user milestone according to CEO Oren Frank. It’s no secret why the company has been so profitable, with healthcare at an all-time high, affordability, and privacy are the number one concerns for people. TalkSpace offers an incredibly affordable plan of only $79 a week for therapy services and or $49 for a mental health professional.
The addition of Neil Leibowitz to the team will also now allow TalkSpace physicians the ability to prescribe medicines to their users. However, according to federal regulations, a therapist will only be allowed to prescribe these medicines via a video chat in order to confirm the identity of the recipient. Leibowitz stated that the company has not made any decision as of yet to ban any type of medicine at the moment.
CEO Oren Frank also admitted that he brought in Neil Leibowitz to spearhead the move to offer employers their TalkSpace service with the intention of ultimately having half of their revenue source coming from this outlet.
